فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِىَ مِن شَٰطِئِ ٱلْوَادِ ٱلْأَيْمَنِ فِى ٱلْبُقْعَةِ ٱلْمُبَٰرَكَةِ مِنَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ أَن يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And when he came to it, he was called by a voice from the right side of the Valley, in the blessed spot, out of the tree: ‘O Moses, verily I am, I am Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’

And when he came to it, [a]he was called by a voice from the right side of the Valley, in the blessed spot, out of the tree: ‘O Moses, verily I am, Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’[2896]

Important Words:

شاطئی (side) is derived from شطا which means, he walked on the bank or side of the river. شطا الام بالولد means, the mother threw or cast away the child. الشاطئی من النھر means, the side or bank of the stream (Aqrab).

بقعة (plot) is infinitive-noun from بقع (baqi‘a) which means, it (a bird or dog) was black and white; it was partly coloured and pied. بقعة means, a piece, part, portion or plot of land differing in appearance or colour or external state from that which adjoins it. The Arabs say ھو حسن البقعة عند الامیر i.e. he has a good station with the prince (Lane & Aqrab).

Commentary:

Whereas Moses was only on the side of the blessed spiritual valley, the Holy Prophet Muhammad had actually entered it (53:14, 15).

Moses could not attain that high stage of nearness to God, which was reserved for the Holy Prophet.

And when he came to it, [b]he was called by a voice from the right side[2213] of the Valley, in the blessed spot, out of the tree: ‘O Moses, verily I am Allah, the Lord of the worlds;’

Whereas Moses was only on the side of the blessed spiritual valley, the Holy Prophet Muhammad had actually entered it (53:14, 15). Moses could not attain that high stage of nearness to God which was reserved for the Holy Prophet.

پس جب وہ اُس کے پاس آیا تو بابرکت وادی کے کنارے سے نِدا دی گئی، درخت کے ایک مبارک حصہ میں، کہ اے موسیٰ! یقیناً میں ہی اللہ ہوں تمام جہانوں کا ربّ۔

Et lorsqu’il y arriva, il fut appelé par une voix venant du côté droit de la Vallée, du lieu béni, de l’arbre : « Ô Moïse, en vérité, Moi-Seul, Je suis Allāh, le Seigneur des mondes ;

Und als er zu ihm kam, da ward er angerufen von der rechten Seite des Tales, aus dem Baume, am gesegneten Ort: "O Mose, wahrlich Ich, Ich bin Allah, der Herr der Welten.

E quando vi giunse, fu chiamato da una voce dal lato destro della valle, nel luogo benedetto, dall'albero: «Mosè, in verità, Io sono Allah, il Signore dei mondi.»

Cuando hubo llegado a él, fue llamado por una voz del lado derecho del Valle, en el lugar bendito, desde un árbol: “Oh, Moisés, en verdad Yo y sólo Yo, soy Al‑lah, el Señor de los mundos”;

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

پھر جب وہ اس (آگ) کے پاس پہنچا‘ تو مبارک مقام کے ایک مبارک [1]حصہ کی طرف سے ایک درخت کے پاس سے اسے پکارا گیا کہ اے موسیٰ میں اللہ ہوں سب جہانوں کا رب۔

اَ یْمَنْ کے معنے بھی مبارک کے ہیں۔ مراد یہ ہے کہ وہ وادی بھی مبارک تھی اور درخت کے قریب کی زمین جہاں سے آواز آئی وہ بھی مبارک تھی کیونکہ اس جگہ خداتعالیٰ کی پیدا کردہ تجلی موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے دیکھی۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

وہاں پہنچا تو وادی کے داہنے کنارے پر مبارک خطے میں ایک درخت سے پکارا گیا کہ "اے موسیٰؑ، میں ہی اللہ ہوں، سارے جہان والوں کا مالک"

English - Sahih

But when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in a blessed spot - from the tree, "O Moses, indeed I am Allah, Lord of the worlds."

پھر جب اس کے پاس پہنچا تو میدان کے داہنے کنارے سے برکت والی جگہ میں ایک درخت سے آواز آئی کہ اے موسیٰ! میں الله جہان کا رب ہوں

But when he came (to) it, he was called from (the) side (of) the valley - the right in the place even, blessed, from the tree that, "O Musa! Indeed, I Am Allah, (the) Lord (of) the worlds.
