تَدْعُونَنِى لِأَكْفُرَ بِٱللَّهِ وَأُشْرِكَ بِهِۦ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ وَأَنَا۠ أَدْعُوكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْغَفَّٰرِ

‘You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and to associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, while I invite you to the Mighty, the Great Forgiver.

You invite me to disbelieve in Allah, and to associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, while I invite you to the Mighty, the Great Forgiver.[3527]
Commentary:
Whereas, as stated above in v. 42, the believers have an invincible faith in the truth of their cause, the disbelievers grope in the darkness of doubt and lack of knowledge. All disbelief springs from ignorance and superstition.
