۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَٰهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوا۟ فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if We had mercy on them and relieved them of their affliction, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

[a]And if We had mercy on them and relieved them of their affliction, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.[2561]

7:136; 43:51.

Important Words:

للجوا (they would still persist in) is plural form of لج which means, he persisted or persevered in an affair or he persisted obstinately in an affair, even if it became manifest that it was wrong; he persisted in contention, litigation or wrangling (Lane & Aqrab).

Commentary:

Man is so constituted that when he is in comfort and easy circumstances, he throws all caution to the winds and begins to indulge in unseemly conduct. But when his transgression and wicked pursuits produce evil results, then he gives himself up to despair. It is to this natural disposition of man that reference has been made in this verse.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر ہم ان پر رحم کرتے اور جو تکلیف انہیں ہے وہ دور کر دیتے تو وہ ضرور اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکنے لگتے۔

French

Et si Nous prenions pitié d’eux et les soulagions de leur affliction, ils s’obstineraient encore dans leur transgression, errant aveuglément.

Und hätten Wir Uns ihrer erbarmt und sie von ihrer Drangsal befreit, sie würden dennoch in ihrer Widerspenstigkeit verharren, verblendet irre wandernd.

[c]如果我对他们施行仁慈, 解除他们所遭逢的折磨, 那么, 他们必盲目迷途地坚持他们的悖逆。

E se Noi avessimo pietà di loro e li liberassimo dal loro dolore, essi persisterebbero nella propria trasgressione, vagando alla cieca.

Spanish

Pero si tuviésemos misericordia de ellos y los libráramos de su angustia seguirían persistiendo en su transgresión, extraviados ciegamente.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر ہم ان پر رحم کریں اور جو ضرر ان کو پہنچ رہا ہے۔ اس کو دور کر دیں تو وہ اپنی سرکشی میں اور بھی بڑھ جائیں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اگر ہم اِن پر رحم کریں اور وہ تکلیف جس میں آج کل یہ مبتلا ہیں دُور کر دیں تو یہ اپنی سرکشی میں بالکل ہی بہک جائیں گے

English - Sahih

And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

اور اگر ہم ا ن پر رحم کر کے ان کی تکلیف کو دور کر دیں تو بھی وہ اپنی سرکشی میں گمراہ پڑے رہیں گے
