لَا تَجْـَٔرُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ

‘Cry not for help this day, surely you shall not be helped by Us.

[c]‘Cry not for help this day, surely you shall not be helped by Us.[2554A]

21:14-15.

Commentary:

The verse purports to say that disbelievers cry for help and repent and lament after Divine punishment has actually overtaken them but then it is too late because punishment comes upon a people only after they have seen heavenly signs and after the falsity of their position has been convincingly brought home to them by sound and solid arguments and they continue to persist in rejecting the truth and persecuting their Prophet.

English - Short Commentary Translation

Whereupon We say, [f]‘Cry not for help this day, surely you shall not be helped by Us,

21:14.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

آج کے دن نہ چلاؤ۔ ہرگز تم ہماری طرف سے کوئی مدد نہیں دیئے جاؤ گے۔

„Schreit nicht um Hilfe heute, denn ihr sollt bei Uns keine Hilfe finden.

“No pidáis ayuda en este día, pues ciertamente no recibiréis ayuda Nuestra”,

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(اس وقت ہم ان سے کہتے ہیں) آج فریادیں نہ کرو‘ ہماری طرف سے تمہیں کوئی مدد نہ پہنچے گی۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اب بند کرو اپنی فریاد و فغاں، ہماری طرف سے اب کوئی مدد تمہیں نہیں ملنی

English - Sahih

Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped.

آج کے دن مت چلاؤ بے شک تم ہم سے چھڑائے نہ جاؤ گے
