وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ

And We bestowed blessings on him and Isaac. And among their progeny are some who do good and others who clearly wrong themselves.

Commentary:
The words "We bestowed blessings on him," refer to the blessings that God bestowed upon Abraham’s progeny through Ishmael as Isaac has been mentioned separately by name.
