God said, ‘We will strengthen thy arm with thy brother and We will give power to you both so that they shall not be able to reach you. Go with Our Signs. You two and those who follow you will be the winners.’

English - Five Volume Translation

[c]God said, ‘We will strengthen thy arm with thy brother, and We will give power to you both so that they shall not be able to reach you. Go with Our Signs. You two and those who follow you will be the victors.’[2901]

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]God said, ‘We will strengthen thine arm[2216] with thy brother, and We will give power to you both so that they shall not reach you. So go with Our Signs. You two and those who follow you will prevail.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اس نے کہا ہم ضرور تیرے بھائی کے ذریعہ تیرا بازو مضبوط کریں گے اور تم دونوں کو ایک غالب نشان عطا کریں گے۔ پس ہمارے نشانات کے ہوتے ہوئے وہ تم دونوں تک نہیں پہنچ سکیں گے۔ تم دونوں بھی اور وہ بھی جو تمہاری پیروی کریں گے غالب آنے والے ہیں۔

French

Allāh dit : « Nous fortifierons ton bras par ton frère, et Nous vous accorderons à tous deux un Signe convaincant. Et grâce à Nos Signes, ils ne sauront vous atteindre. Vous deux et ceux qui vous suivront seront les vainqueurs. »

German

Er sprach: "Wir wollen deinen Arm stärken mit deinem Bruder, und Wir wollen euch beiden Macht geben, so dass sie euch nicht erreichen werden. (Gehet nun) mit Unseren Zeichen. Ihr beide und die, welche euch folgen, werden die Sieger sein."

[a]他 (安拉) 说: “我以你的兄弟加强你的臂力, 将为你俩创造优胜的条件, 以便他们不能伤害你俩。你俩和追随你俩的人藉着我的迹象, 将获得胜利。”

Italian

Dio disse: «Noi rafforzeremo il tuo braccio con tuo fratello, e Noi daremo potere ad entrambi, sì che non saranno in grado di eguagliarvi. Andate dunque con i Nostri segni. Voi due e quanti vi seguono riuscirete vittoriosi.»

Spanish

Dios dijo: “Fortaleceremos tu brazo con tu hermano, y os daremos poder a los dos para que nunca puedan alcanzaros. Id con Nuestros Signos. Vosotros dos y quienes os sigan serán los vencedores”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

فرمایا‘ ہم تیرے بھائی کے ساتھ تیرے بازو کو مضبوط کریں گے اور تم دونوں کے لئے غلبہ کے سامان پیدا کریں گے۔ پس وہ تم تک نہیں پہنچ سکیں گے تم دونوں اور جو تم دونوں کے متبع ہوں گے ہماری آیات کے ذریعہ سے غالب ہونگے۔

فرمایا "ہم تیرے بھائی کے ذریعہ سے تیرا ہاتھ مضبوط کریں گے اور تم دونوں کو ایسی سطوت بخشیں گے کہ وہ تمہارا کچھ نہ بگاڑ سکیں گے ہماری نشانیوں کے زور سے غلبہ تمہارا اور تمہارے پیروؤں کا ہی ہو گا"

English - Sahih

[Allah] said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and grant you both supremacy so they will not reach you. [It will be] through Our signs; you and those who follow you will be the predominant."

فرمایا ہم تیرے بازو کو تیرے بھائی سے مضبوط کر دیں گے اور تمہیں غلبہ دیں گے پھر وہ تم تک پہنچ نہیں سکیں گے ہماری نشانیوں کے سبب سےتم اورتمہارے تابعدار غالب رہیں گے

He said, "We will strengthen your arm through your brother and We will make for both of you an authority, so not they will reach to both of you. Through Our Signs you two and (those) who follow you, (will) be the dominant."

He said: "We will certainly strengthen you through your brother and will invest both of you with such power that they shall not be able to hurt you. With the help of Our Signs the two of you and your followers will prevail."

(And) God said: "We shall strengthen your arm with your brother, and give you power with Our signs and give you authority, so that they will not be able to harm you. Both of you and your followers will be victorious."

Important Words:

عضدک (thy arm) is derived from عضد (adada). They say عضدہ i.e. he aided or assisted him. عضد الدابة means, he walked by the side of the beast. عضد means, the upper arm or upper half of the arm; the side of the arm-pit and the side of a road; an aider or assistant. They say ھم اعضادی i.e. they are my aiders (Lane & Aqrab).
