And We sent among them a Messenger from among themselves who said, ‘Serve Allah. You have no God other than Him. Will you not then fear God?’

English - Five Volume Translation

And We sent among them a Messenger from among themselves with the message, ‘Serve Allah. You have no God other than Him. Will you not then fear God?’[2534]

English - Short Commentary Translation

And We sent among them a Messenger from among themselves with the Message, ‘Serve Allah, you have no god other than Him. Will you not then make Him your shield against all calamities?

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

پھر ہم نے ان میں بھی انہی میں سے ایک رسول بھیجا (جو کہتا تھا) کہ اللہ کی عبادت کرو۔ اس کے سوا تمہارے لئے کوئی معبود نہیں۔ پس کیا تم تقویٰ اختیار نہیں کرو گے؟

French

Et Nous envoyâmes parmi eux un Messager, qui était des leurs qui leur dit : « Adorez Allāh. Vous n’avez d’autre dieu que Lui. Ne voulez-vous donc pas être droits ? »

German

Und Wir entsandten unter sie einen Gesandten aus ihrer Mitte (der sprach): "Dienet Allah. Ihr habt keinen anderen Gott als Ihn. Wollt ihr also nicht rechtschaffen werden?"

我从他们中派遣了一位使者, (他向他们说): “你们要崇拜安拉。除他以外, 再没有值得你们崇拜的对象。你们将来还不把他作为 (你们一切灾难的) 保护者吗?”

Italian

E inviammo tra di loro un messaggero suscitato tra di loro che disse: «Servite Allah. Non avete altro dio all'infuori di Lui. Non avrete dunque timore di Dio?»

Spanish

Les enviamos un Mensajero de entre ellos mismos que dijo: “Servid a Al-lah. No tenéis ningún Dios distinto de Él. ¿No temeréis pues a Dios?”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور ہم نے ان میں انہی میں سے رسول بھیجا (یہ پیغام دیتے ہوئے) کہ اللہ کی عبادت کرو۔ اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی اور معبود نہیں۔ کیا تم اس کے ذریعہ سے اپنے آپ کو ہلاکت سے بچاتے نہیں؟

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

پھر اُن میں خود انہی کی قوم کا ایک رسول بھیجا (جس نے انہیں دعوت دی) کہ اللہ کی بندگی کرو، تمہارے لیے اُس کے سوا کوئی اور معبود نہیں ہے، کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں ہو؟

And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

پھر ان میں بھی انہیں میں سے ایک رسول بھیجا کہ الله کی عبادت کرو تمہارے لیے اس کے سوا اورکوئی معبود نہیں پھر تم کیوں نہیں ڈرتے

Commentary:

The human caravan wended its way till when men totally consigned God to oblivion and strayed away from the path to which the Messengers of God after Noah had led them, a Prophet was again raised among them and he also like his predecessors emphasized the basic principle of all religions—the Unity of God. "Worship Allah", has always been the clarion call of all Divine Messengers, if only mankind should realize the real significance and import of Divine worship.
