[a]And if even a breath of thy Lord’s punishment touch them, they will surely cry out, ‘Woe to us! we were indeed wrongdoers.’[2387]

[d]And if even a breath of thy Lord’s punishment touch them, they will surely cry out, ‘Woe to us! we were indeed wrongdoers.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر انہیں تیرے ربّ کے عذاب کی کوئی لپٹ چھوئے گی تو ضرور کہیں گے کہ وائے ہماری ہلاکت! ہم یقیناً ظلم کرنے والے تھے۔

Et si rien qu’un souffle du châtiment de ton Seigneur les touchait, ils crieraient sûrement : « Malheur à nous ! En vérité nous avons été des injustes. »

Und wenn sie ein Hauch von der Strafe deines Herrn berührt, dann werden sie sicherlich sprechen: "O wehe uns, wir waren fürwahr Frevler!"

Y aunque sólo les llegue un soplo del castigo de tu Señor, ciertamente gritarán: “¡Ay de nosotros! ¡Fuimos ciertamente injustos!”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر انکو تیرے رب کے عذاب کی گرمی کا کوئی جھونکا لگ جائے تو وہ ضرور کہیں گے‘ ہم پر افسوس! ہم تو ظلم ہی کرتے رہے۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور اگر تیرے رب کا عذاب ذرا سا انہیں چھو جائے تو ابھی چیخ اٹھیں کہ ہائے ہماری کم بختی، بے شک ہم خطا وار تھے

English - Sahih

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

اور البتہ اگر انہیں تیرے رب کا عذاب کا ایک جھونکا بھی لگ جائے تو ضرور کہیں گے کہ ہائے ہماری کم بختی بے شک ہم ظالم تھے

Important Words:

نفحة (breath) is inf. noun from نفح which means, it diffused its odour. نفحت الریح means, the wind blew or it blew gently. نفحه، نفحة means, he gave him a gift. نفحة means, an odour or a plenteous odour; a blast or a breath of wind; a gift. نفحة من السموم means, a grievous blast of hot wind (Lane & Aqrab).
