أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا ۖ لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

How wonderful will their hearing and seeing be on the day when they will come to Us! But today the wrongdoers are in manifest error.

How wonderful will their hearing and seeing be on the day when they will come to Us! But today the wrongdoers are in manifest error.[2182]

Commentary:

The verse means to say that the faculties of seeing and hearing of disbelievers will become much more keener and sharper on the Day of Judgement, because the veil will be lifted from their eyes and ears and they will realize that they were in the wrong; but that realization being too late will prove to be of no use to them.

English - Short Commentary Translation

How well they will hear and see[1771] on the day when they will come to Us! But today the wrongdoers are in manifest error.

کیا خوب ان کا سننا اور کیا خوب اُن کا دیکھنا ہوگا جس دن وہ ہمارے پاس آئیں گے۔ لیکن ظالم لوگ تو آج ایک کھلی کھلی گمراہی میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں۔

Comme leur ouïe et leur vue seront merveilleuses le jour où ils viendront à Nous ! Mais aujourd’hui les injustes sont dans une erreur manifeste.

Wie wunderbar wird ihr Hören und Sehen sein an dem Tage, wo sie zu Uns kommen werden! Heute aber sind die Frevler in offenbarem Irrtum.

他们在将来到我面前的那一天, 他们的听觉是很灵敏的, 视觉是很明锐的。但是那些不义的人今天却陷于明显的迷误中。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

جس دن وہ ہمارے حضور میں حاضر ہونگے اس دن ان کی قوت شنوائی بہت تیز ہوگی اور نظریں بھی بہت تیز ہونگی لیکن وہ ظالم آج بہت بھاری گمراہی میں مبتلا ہیں۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

جب کہ وہ ایک بڑا دن دیکھیں گے جب وہ ہمارے سامنے حاضر ہوں گے اُس روز تو اُن کے کان بھی خوب سُن رہے ہوں گے اور اُن کی آنکھیں بھی خوب دیکھتی ہوں گی، مگر آج یہ ظالم کھلی گمراہی میں مبتلا ہیں

کیا خوب سنتے اور دیکھتے ہوں گے جس دن ہمارے پاس آئیں گے لیکن ظالم آج صریح گمراہی میں ہیں
