رَّبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ ۖ إِن يَشَأْ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَوْ إِن يَشَأْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ ۚ وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Your Lord knows you best. If He please, He will have mercy on you; or if He please, He will punish you. And We have not sent thee to be a keeper over them.

Your Lord knows you best. [a]If He please, He will have mercy on you; or if He please, He will punish you. [b]And We have not sent thee to be a keeper over them.[1984]

Commentary:

God alone knows the innermost secrets of man’s heart and therefore He has reserved for Himself the right to punish or reward man. This work has not been entrusted even to the Holy Prophet. God Himself will deal with men according to the state of their minds.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تمہارا ربّ تمہیں سب سے زیادہ جانتا ہے۔ اگر وہ چاہے تو تم پر رحم کرے اور اگر چاہے تو تمہیں عذاب دے۔ اور ہم نے تجھے ان پر داروغہ بنا کر نہیں بھیجا۔

French

Votre Seigneur vous connaît le mieux. S’Il le veut, Il aura pitié de vous ; ou s’Il le veut, Il vous châtiera. Et Nous ne t’avons pas envoyé pour être leur gardien.

German

Euer Herr kennt euch am besten. Wenn Er will, so wird Er Sich euer erbarmen, oder wenn Er will, so wird Er euch strafen. Und Wir haben dich nicht entsandt als einen Wächter über sie.

Chinese

你们的养主最知道你们。[a]如果他愿意, 他就慈悯你们; 如果他愿意, 他就惩罚你们。[b]我没派你做他们的看守人。

Italian

Il vostro Signore vi conosce meglio di tutti. Se Gli piace, Egli avrà misericordia di voi, o se Gli piace, Egli vi punirà. E Noi non ti abbiamo mandato come il loro custode.

Spanish

Vuestro Señor os conoce muy bien. Si Le place, tendrá misericordia de vosotros; o si quiere, os castigará. Pero no te hemos enviado como guardián de ellos.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تمہارا رب تمہیں (سب سے) زیادہ جانتا ہے اگر وہ چاہے گا تو تم پر رحم کرے گا اور اگر وہ چاہے گا تو تمہیں عذاب دے گا اور (اے رسول)! ہم نے تجھے ان کا ذمہ وار بنا کر نہیں بھیجا۔

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تمہارا رب تمہارے حال سے زیادہ واقف ہے، وہ چاہے تو تم پر رحم کرے اور چاہے تو تمہیں عذاب دے دے اور اے نبیؐ، ہم نے تم کو لوگوں پر حوالہ دار بنا کر نہیں بھیجا ہے

English - Sahih

Your Lord is most knowing of you. If He wills, He will have mercy upon you; or if He wills, He will punish you. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a manager.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

تمہارا رب خوب جانتا ہے اگر چاہے تم پر رحم کرے اور اگر چاہے تمہیں عذاب دے او رہم نے تجھے ان پر ذمہ دار بنا کر نہیں بھیجا

Your Lord knows you very well; if He will, He will have mercy on you, or, if He will, He will chastise you. We sent thee not to be a guardian over them.
